Tributes have been pouring in from all around the world following the death of Robbie Keane's mother.
The Republic of Ireland legend announced his mother's passing on social media on Monday evening.
Paying tribute to his mother Anne, Keane wrote: "It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you of my beloved mother Anne’s passing. My wonderful mother was our rock. She adored her children and grandchildren and was the most generous and selfless person I’ve ever met. She had an infectious sense of humour and constantly put smiles on our faces.

"You always wondered where I got my resilience from but after seeing your determination and fight despite everything that was thrown at you in life and especially the past few weeks, I know it was from you mum, you were always so strong, a true warrior.
"Words can't adequately express how lucky we were to have a mum like you. Thank you for all of the love, laughter and memories which I will cherish forever.
"I am heartbroken to say goodbye but I know that dad will be waiting for you with open arms and that you will both continue to guide us all from above. Rest in peace mum. I will love and miss you always."
A large number of Keane's former teammates and close friends were among those to pay tribute to Anne following her death.
James McClean wrote: "Sorry to hear bud, condolences to you and the family."
Shay Given added: "So sorry to hear Rob, an amazing mother and big supporter of all of us over the years , pass on my love to all the family RIP Anne."
Shane Duffy posted: "Sorry for your loss Rob. Stay strong."
Former Celtic captain Scott Brown said: "Sorry for your loss. Thoughts are with you and the family."
Munster and Ireland rugby star Conor Murray commented: "Sorry for your loss."
Michael Owen wrote: "So sorry to hear about your loss mate. Thinking about you and the family."
Rangers legend Ally McCoist commented: "Absolutely gutted for you pal. Lost my own wee mum a couple of weeks ago. Nothing prepares you for it. Surround yourself with your family and think of all your memories."
Anne's funeral will take place on Thursday at St Agnes's Church in Crumlin.
