Tributes pour in following death of designer Nicky Wallace

Tributes have poured in for well-known designer Nicky Wallace, who previously had a popular menswear store on South William Street in Dublin.

Mr Wallace was a native of Wexford and he passed away at his home on Sunday. A tailor to the stars, Mr Wallace worked with some huge names, and he was responsible for the suits worn on Miami Vice by Hollywood star Don Johnson and Johnny Logan's famous Eurovision winning suit.

Opening a store in Dublin in the early 2000’s, Mr Wallace returned to his tailoring origins and developed a specialty shop concentrating on Made-to-Measure, with his signature 'New Aristocrat' look. Mr Wallace was also based in London for several years and then France for eight years, where he had set up a Studio-Shop, to service French and UK clients, and in January 2020 he moved his home and business back to his native Wexford.
