A young boy tragically died following a horrifying accident with a helium dinosaur balloon. Karlton Noah Donaghey, aged five, sadly lost his life after trying to climb into the large balloon after he was found unresponsive on the floor with it over his head and neck.
His devastated mum Lisa is now raising awareness of the dangers that come with helium following Karlton's shock death. She discovered him on the floor of their Gateshead home with the helium balloon over his head and neck when she went to check on him inside the property.
The youngster was given CPR at the scene before being taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for emergency treatment on June 23. He spent six days in intensive care before his ventilator was sadly switched off, North Wales Live reports.
