Tributes paid to man, 32, who died in tragic motorbike crash in Sunderland on Easter Monday

Sunderland residents have paid their respects to a young man who tragically died following a crash in the city on Easter Monday.

The 32-year-old motorbike rider sadly died in hospital after his off-road bike and a Suzuki Swift car collided at the junction of St Luke’s Terrace, East Moor Road and Midmoor Road in Pallion at around 9.35pm on April 18. The man and a 15-year-old boy, who was a passenger on the motorbike, were treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.

However, police confirmed on April 21 that the 32-year-old man had tragically died from his injuries. A number of colourful flowers and balloons have been left on Midmoor Road, close to where the incident took place, in the days following his death as the community pays tribute to the much-loved man.
