A Tallaght pub has paid tribute to their manager following news of his death.
Darren O'Brien, aged 47, passed away last weekend. Darren became general manager of Molloys Bar and Grill back in 2021 after almost 30 years at the bar.
He first joined the pub, formerly known as the Foxes Covert, in 1994. Molloys Bar and Grill paid tribute to their former manager on Facebook and described him as an "inspiration" to the team.
The Facebook post read: "Molloys is a family business, and he became one of the family. He also created a family atmosphere amongst all of his staff. His legacy will live on in all the young people he trained, mentored and guided."

Staff extended their sympathies to Darren's family and friends in the post. They spoke fondly of his bond with the pub's former manager Fran Worrall, who recruited Darren almost three decades ago.
People took to the comments section to pay tribute to Darren. People praised his kindness as a manager and described him as a true gentleman.
One person wrote: "You could go to Darren with any situation and he would be there to listen. Can still hear his giggle and see his cheeky grin and hear the rattles of his keys."
Another comment read: "Still can't believe it. He was a pure gentleman and will be greatly missed."
