Tributes paid after man killed in Cork stabbing named as locals express shock over 'horrendous' incident

A young man was killed and his father was seriously injured after a horror double stabbing in Cork

Shane Murphy, 27, was pronounced dead at his Carrigaline home while his father Patrick, 75, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the attack in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency services rushed to the house in the Sea View estate but despite their desperate efforts Shane passed away.
