Tributes have been flowing in for a kind Dublin dad of three who died peacefully at Beaumont Hospital on June 30.
Derek Savage was described as a "gentle and kind soul" who always had time to help his friends and neighbours. He owned Savage Printers which provided materials for many local pubs and businesses.
Business owners said that the Swords resident was always a pleasure to work with and was always smiling. His former school said he gave current students advice and encouragement when they needed it.

Joey's posted: "Very sad news to hear that Derek Savage has passed away. He was a former pupil. In recent years he was so kind and welcoming to our students. He owned a printing business and played a major role in setting up our Joey's newsletters.
"He gave the boys time, encouragement, advice and respect. The thoughts and prayers of everyone here at Joey's are with his family at this sad time. May he rest in peace."
Former Lord Mayor of Dublin Nial Ring said that he always left Derek's shop in a great mood. He wrote: "I was so saddened to hear of Derek's passing. My heartfelt sympathies to his loving wife Debbie and his children who adored him, Nathan, Megan and Max.
"I never left his place without a smile on my face.as his infectious good humour would brighten up the dreariest of days. A true gentleman, family man and a privilege to have known. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis."
People left their own heartfelt condolences to Derek's family.
One person said: "Shocked and saddened to hear this news. Derek was a great supporter of community events and community organisations. Nothing was too much trouble, and his work was of the highest standard. Condolences to all his family. His smiling face and professional skills will be missed."
Another wrote: " Such sad news , one of the nicest guys I’ve ever known."
A third commented: "Sincere condolences to all Derek’s family and friends. You were genuinely one of nature’s true gentlemen. Always smiling! May you rest in peace Derek."
Derek's funeral will take place on Wednesday morning 11am in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord, Montrose Park, Beaumont. He will be missed by his wife Debbie, children Nathan, Megan and Max along with a large circle of extended family and friends.
