Former Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Councillor Louise Cosgrave was honoured at last night's Council meeting following her sad death last month.
Ms Cosgrave represented the Stillorgan ward on the Council from 1999 to 2009.
The Fine Gael politician was a popular member of her community and was "still very active" in the constituency until a few months before her death.

She passed away on February 24 "peacefully, at St. Vincent's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family".
Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Councillors held a minutes for her during their monthly meeting last night.
Speaking on behalf of the Fine Gael group, Councillor Barry Saul paid tribute to Ms Cosgrave, calling her an "energetic character".
He said: "She served in this local authority for ten years, from 1999 to 2009.
"She was a very energetic character and I think there's some Councillors here, maybe a few who served with her during that period.
"She always was very cheerful and lightened up many rooms.

"She was a decade-long servant for people in the Stillorgan ward.
"She was still very active in our local constituency up to a number of months before she passed away."
Ms Cosgrave's funeral took place on March 1 and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council flew their flag at half-mast that day out of respect to the former Councillor.
