A young British tourist who was killed by a lightning strike while paddling in Greece has been named as Scott Seddon, from Liverpool.
Local media in Greece reported that Mr Seddon, 26, died after being struck in the Agia Agathi area of Rhodes on Monday afternoon. He was reported to be on a paddleboard, with his girlfriend filming him at the time of the incident.
Greek media outlet Rodiaki said the sad incident happened shortly before 1.30pm local time on Monday. The report said Mr Seddon was on the paddleboard in the sea when a bolt of lightning struck a short distance from where he was.
