Tributes have been paid to a Newport woman "always looking for ways to help those around her" after she died in a crash on the A467 on January 13. Paula Richards, 59, died following the collision between Crumlin and Aberbeeg at around 1.20pm on Friday, January 13.
Officers headed to the scene long with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service, Welsh Air Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue. Paula's family have since issued the following tribute to her: "Paula was the daughter of Joan and Colin Richards and older sister to her two brothers, David and Philip.
"She was a loving member of the family, who was always looking for ways to help those around her. It will take time to begin to cope with this terrible accident and we know all around us will share our sadness." Specialist officers are continuing to support her next of kin. Gwent Police is asking for any motorists with dashcam footage that were using the A467 between 1pm and 2pm to contact them.
