The Cincinnati Bengals can’t escape listing big names on the injury report early this season—and that’s especially the case going into Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers.
Those Bengals started the week off by unexpectedly adding Ja’Marr Chase to the injury report.
Chase’s status later improved in the middle of the week, though, with the final injury report on Friday shaking out like so:
- S Anthony Daijahn — Questionable
- DT BJ Hill — Out
- TE Tanner Hudson — Questionable
- DT Sheldon Rankins — Out
Star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson was out the first two days of the week due to an illness. Like Chase, he’s not even listed on the final report and good to go.
Both Sheldon Rankins and B.J. Hill, in the heart of the defense, also missed the first two days of the week, with Bengals head coach Zac Taylor implying that Hill is closer to a return than Rankins.
Beyond needing multiple names to step up in the middle of the defensive line, the Bengals will also start first-rounder Amarius Mims at right tackle with Trent Brown lost for the season.
