Trevor Noah’s 2024 Grammys monologue earned rave reviews for its effective Taylor Swift jokes

Sunday’s 2024 edition of the Grammys brought comedian and Daily Show alum Trevor Noah back to host, and his Taylor Swift jokes even impressed the music sensation herself.

Noah joked about Swift’s recent appearances during NFL broadcasts to watch Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, which the musician got a big kick out of when the camera cut to her to get her reaction.

The Grammys host’s approach stood as a stark difference to Jo Koy’s cringey Golden Globes monologue last month, which featured a Swift joke that the artist didn’t even vaguely crack a smile at.

Noah, on the other hand, got plenty of love for his opening jokes that managed to poke earnest fun at Swift without making it weird.

Swift’s fans (and music fans in general) really enjoyed Noah’s work, as he’s become a very reliable choice to host the Grammys each year. The reactions suggest he could be a popular pick to return in 2025.
