San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel requested a trade on Wednesday, as reported by ESPN’s Jeff Darlington. New England Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown wasted no time recruiting him, making his pitch via Twitter.
Samuel tallied 77 receptions for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns last season. He also led the league with 18.2 yards per reception. He proved to be a viable piece of the 49ers running game as well. He carried the ball 59 times for 365 yards and eight touchdowns in 2021. In addition to his receiving talents, Samuel has been a key piece of the 49ers running game as well.
With New England needing another playmaker, Brown made his pitch rather succinctly.
Aye @19problemz pull up to Foxboro my G…it don’t get that cold 🤣🤣

As the focus shifts towards the draft, New England could use a spark offensively. Although it may be a long shot, Samuel would be a good fit in the Patriots offense due to his versatility and ability to make plays after the catch.
