Trent Alexander-Arnold sends blunt Man City message after Champions League question

Manchester City UEFA Champions League Liverpool Trent AlexanderArnold Manchester United EPL

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold says that Manchester City are "always favourites" after being asked about the Reds' chances of competing next season.

Pep Guardiola's side edged past their rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley to win their seventh accolade in the competition and move to just one triumph away from a famous treble. The Citizens romped to Premier League success in May as the Spaniard scored a third successive English top-flight crown.

Ilkay Gundogan's double was enough to deny the Red Devils' hopes of a domestic double. They're now at least 90 minutes away from managing the same feat as Sir Alex Ferguson's side did in 1999.
