In Thomas Tuchel's 13-month tenure as Chelsea boss, the German has made the Blues a very strong cup team.
Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League for the second time in the club's history last season, in the same campaign they were beaten in the FA Cup final by Leicester City.
The Blues, then, in the following season, achieved UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup success, with Tuchel already boasting three major honours at Stamford Bridge despite being in charge of the west Londoners for just over 12 months.
This season, Chelsea remain in the FA Cup, Champions League and play in a Carabao Cup final later this month. Of course, the Premier League title is a possibility, but a very slim one.
One of Chelsea's main rivals, Liverpool, were told by former defender Jamie Carragher in December of last year, that they should become more like the Blues in the way they approach cup competitions.
Writing in his column for The Telegraph, Carragher said: "Winning the biggest prize of all — the 2019 Champions League — and ending the 30-year wait to become English champions in 2020 secured Klopp’s legend.
"The subsequent UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup victories made for a memorable 12 months. But if Klopp leaves Liverpool in 2024 without adding to them, there will be regret when considering all the other seasons where scintillating football went without silverware.
"There is a broader lesson to learn, for Liverpool especially, when the margin for error in a title bid is so small,” Carragher added. “The club have to maximise their chances of winning all four competitions they enter every season, recognising the League Cup and the FA Cup as worthy prizes.
"To put it simply, Liverpool need to become more like Chelsea.
"What they have done so well during the Roman Abramovich era is to become serial trophy collectors: five FA Cups, three league cups, two Europa League titles. That’s in addition to being Champions League winners twice.
"When the Premier League is a step too far, Chelsea have shown there is nothing wrong with occasionally redefining themselves as a cup team."
Carragher's comments about Liverpool trying to be more like Chelsea may now be in fruition, with Reds defender Trent Alexander-Arnold revealing the club's stance about winning trophies this season.
Alexander-Arnold said: "We do not feel disappointed that we haven't got enough trophies. I am not making any digs, but if you look at Man City's amazing team, they haven't been able to lift the Champions League.
"There is an expectation now. One trophy a season minimum."
It seems, judging by Alexander-Arnold's comments earlier this week, that Liverpool are trying to become a winning machine under Jurgen Klopp, with their first chance of silverware this season coming towards the end of this month as Chelsea and the Reds go head-to-head at Wembley.
