Scott was arrested following an alleged attack on a security guard who intervened during the fight, as reported by a police spokesman. However, the case was ultimately dismissed due to a lack of evidence to support the alleged offense, according to the city’s prosecutor’s office.
Travis Scott, also known as Jacques Bermon Webster, had been in Paris for the Olympic Games and had attended the men’s basketball semi-final between the United States and Serbia on Thursday. The rapper had recently concluded the European leg of his Circus Maximus tour in Lisbon, Portugal, after performing at various arenas across North America and Europe, including a show at Tottenham Hotspur’s soccer stadium in London.
Scott, a prominent figure in the rap industry, has received multiple Grammy Award nominations, including a recent nod for Best Rap Album for his 2023 release “Utopia.” Despite his musical success, he has had encounters with law enforcement in the past. In June, he was arrested in Miami on charges of trespass and disorderly intoxication.
