Travis Scott attends sister's graduation ahead of first concert since Astroworld tragedy

Travis Scott, 31, was a proud big brother at his sister Jordan Webster's graduation ceremony in Washington, D.C over the weekend.

Kylie Jenner 's other half was snapped in the audience as the Class of the 2022 graduated from Howard University on Saturday - just hours before he took to the stage to perform for the first time since the Astroworld tragedy in November last year.

The rapper's 45 minute set in Miami, Florida during the early hours of Sunday morning is the first time the Antidote singer has performed publicly since 10 people were killed at his music festival in Texas last year.

It's been reported that throughout his set at club E11EVEN, Travis - real name Jacques Webster - tossed money into the crowd and was joined on stage by Dubai S*** collaborator Quavo, 31.

Travis - who launched a new safety initiative following the tragedy - began his busy weekend proudly sharing a snap of little sister Jordan in her cap and gown with his 44.7million followers.

"Had to see my sister cross that stage today," the dad-of-two captioned the snap of his sibling celebrating her milestone achievement.

"Congrats U did it. Ur amazing Law school next let's goooo."

The dad-of-two wasn't the only famous face watching on as actress Taraji P. Henson delivered the commencement address for the new graduates.

Comedian Anthony Anderson and musician Common were also spotted in the crowd on Saturday - with Travis posing alongside his fellow rapper at one point during the ceremony.

After congratulating his sibling on her academic achievements, Travis then jetted off to Florida where he took to the stage publicly for the first time in over five months since the devastating Astroworld tragedy last year.

Over 50,000 music fans had gathered in Texas for the event on November 5, but when Travis took to the stage at 9pm, the large crowd surged forward.

10 lost their lives after the crush, with one of the youngest victims being nine-year-old Ezra Blount, and over 25 people were hospitalised after the disaster.

Although he is said to have performed at private events, Travis' performance during the city's festivities for Miami Grand Prix weekend in the early hours of Sunday morning seemingly marked the start of his public comeback.

TMZ has reported that Kylie Jenner's baby daddy appeared onstage at around 3 a.m. local time and told clubgoers that people "better lose their motherf***ing minds" ahead of his return to the stage.

The American publication also claims the rapper was seen with a bottle of 1942 Don Julio tequila during his performance and encouraged those watching him to take shots.

Celebraties such as Kylie's ex Tyga, Teyana Taylor, Karrueche Tran, will.i.am, Logan Paul, Busta Rhymes, Future and Travis Kelce were all said to be watching on as the dad-of-two performed hits like Sicko Mode and Goosebumps.

Throughout his 45 minute set, Travis was pictured throwing dollar bills into the crowd, with PageSix reporting he declared: "Everybody owes me a shot ... we need every stripper to report to the f***ing stage right now. We need every bottle reported to this motherf***in floor."

His public performance comes just two months after he announced a new event safety initiative following the Astroworld disaster, describing it as 'a multi-tier, long-term series of community-focused philanthropy and investment effort'.

Speaking on Instagram in March, Travis explained how he had spent recent months taking the "space to grieve, reflect and do my part to heal my community" as he announced Project HEAL to his followers.

The star also pledged to "honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy" who he says will remain in his heart forever.
