Swifties had to wait an extra week, but they finally got the full breakdown of Travis Kelce’s appearance on the Eras Tour stage with Taylor Swift thanks to the latest episode of his New Heights podcast. On this week’s episode, the second season finale, Jason Kelce got little brother to spill all the details about his performance during the London finale.
The Kansas City Chief surprised the crowd (and everyone watching online) when he emerged from the stage during the interlude before Swift’s “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.” According to Kelce, he floated the idea to his girlfriend of nearly a year as an off-handed joke, and she found the best spot for him to seamlessly fit in.
“I initially mentioned it to Tay,” Travis explained. “I was like, ‘How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 act?'” The couple decided the combination of Kelce and moving bikes was too much, but the 14-time Grammy winner had a solution.
When Swift seemed like she legitimately wanted to make this happen, Travis joked that it was time to earn his keep. “I’ve seen the show enough, might as well put me to work here,” he said.

Once on stage, Kelce reverted back into his football training and told himself one message over and over: “Do not drop the baby.”
“The golden rule was ‘Do not drop Taylor.,'” he added.
