Travis Kelce admits to trying to ‘keep it cool’ when Patriots fans did this to Taylor Swift

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has spoken in the past that he hated playing the New England Patriots due to fans heckling his mother in the stands.

So he was likely expecting similar treatment to his pop star icon girlfriend, Taylor Swift, when she traveled to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough to watch the Patriots-Chiefs game.

There were a few boos in there, but to Kelce’s surprise, the vast majority of Patriots fans cheered Swift during the game.

“You don’t see an entire home team fan base go insane for somebody wearing the opposite team’s colors. Just shows you how amazing that girl is,” Kelce said, when appearing on the “New Heights” podcast. “They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen. There might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing, but for the most part, everybody was [expletive] screaming their tail off for her.

“I was trying to keep it cool. I was like, ‘Don’t show your cards. Don’t show your cards.’ It was fun, man. Shout out to the Patriots, New England. Taylor is on record saying that stadium is one of the funnest that she’s played at. So for them to show her some love, shout out to the Patriots for doing that.”

Swift just might be the one person that finally bridges the gap between Patriots fans and Kelce, assuming winning football games aren’t a part of the equation.
