Travis Hunter was a highly regarded NFL draft prospect ahead of the 2024 college football season. The two-way Colorado superstar backed up the preseason hype with a spectacular night in the Buffaloes debut.
Playing both cornerback and wide receiver, Hunter put on quite a show. His second-half TD grab against FCS powerhouse North Dakota State might be the best catch we see in college football all year.
It was an astonishing display of strength, concentration and sticky hands from Hunter. While many (including we here at Draft Wire) see Hunter as a better all-around prospect at cornerback, he’s a first-round consideration at wide receiver too.
Some of the best reactions to Hunter’s big night out against NDSU…
MAN TRAVIS HUNTER IS RIDICULOUS!!!!! WOW

“He has a sixth sense for making plays on the ball and attacking it out of the air.”
That’s the best way to describe the ball skills of Travis Hunter. Special player.

They can't guard him. I would call this the Travis Hunter Game. But I think he played better vs. TCU last year. But this game is driving home the point that his future in the NFL might be as a wide receiver. He is having Heisman moments. It was a 17-play, 80-yard drive. Buffs…

I genuinely will fall asleep tonight wondering what if Travis Hunter JUST played one position this season.
