Travis Barker has been rushed to hospital following a mysterious illness.

The Blink 182 drummer, who recently married Kourtney Kardashian in a lavish Italian ceremony, was pictured on a stretcher before being taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.

In the snaps obtained by TMZ, the 46-year-old is seen on a stretcher raising a fist with his skull tattoo visible.

He arrived at the hospital a short time later in an ambulance and was wheeled out of the vehicle.

Wearing a black tracksuit, wife Kourtney walked by her husband's side.

Fans became increasingly worried about the star's health after his 16-year-old daughter Alabama Barker took to her Instagram to ask people to send prayers to her father.

She said: "please send me your prayers", with a sad face emoji.

Travis also tweeted a cryptic message on Tuesday morning saying: "God save me."

According to a confession, the Blink-182 drummer suffers from trigeminal neuralgia – a sudden, severe facial pain .

It's often described as a sharp shooting pain or like having an electric shock in the jaw, teeth or gums. It usually happens in short, unpredictable attacks that can last from a few seconds to about 2 minutes. The attacks stop as suddenly as they start.

The drummer told Joe Rogan: "I just sit there with my wheels spinning unless I use CBD. And then that kind of helps.

"And then I also have Trigeminal Neuralgia. Have you heard of it? It's the worst. It's called the suicide disease."

"Basically, all of the nerves in your face are firing all at the same time. So it almost feels like what you feel when you think you need a root canal or you have a tooth that's messed up."

No further information has been released at this time.
