Travel UK: France updates covid rules for anyone who is fully vaccinated

All EU travellers arriving into France do not need to take a covid test to be able to enter.

However in an update today (February 12), France have announced that this is set to change.

In a tweet yesterday (February 11) Consul General of France, Guillaume Bazard, announced that travellers coming from the UK to France will no longer need to take a covid test so long as they are fully vaccinated.

The French Government confirmed that "proof of vaccination will be sufficient to come to France whatever country you are coming from, just as it was before the spread of the Omicron variant."

This means that if you have not had your second primary covid dose within the last 270 days (or nine months) you must have had your booster vaccine - and you will need to show proof of this.

The proof of vaccination for all three can be located on Scotland's NHS covid status app.

Those who are not fully vaccinated will still have to present a "compelling reason" for their travel and could be subject to a post-arrival test, with isolation required if their test is positive.

In addition, they will still need to take a covid test before their departure.
