Portugal has become the latest country to relax Covid entry restrictions for UK tourists. Holidaymakers no longer have to show any Covid related documents when entering.

Portugal

A passenger locator form is no longer required for entry to mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores. There are no COVID vaccination or testing requirements for entry to mainland Portugal, Madeira and Porto Santo.

For entry to the Azores, you must present proof that you have been fully vaccinated when you check-in for your flight to the Azores.

A full course of an approved vaccine can be:

  • both doses of a 2-dose vaccine, or a combination of two different vaccines, or
  • an approved one-dose vaccine, or
  • if you caught COVID-19 after just one dose of a 2-dose vaccine and your certificate shows that your vaccination course is complete after the administration of just one dose of the vaccine

Spain

If you are traveling to Spain you must show valid proof of one of the following on entry:

  • being fully vaccinated. Your vaccination status must meet the Spanish authorities’ validity period requirements.

  • a negative COVID-19 test: either a PCR taken within 72 hours prior to departure, or an antigen test taken within 24 hours prior to departure.

  • having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months. You can use a medical certificate or recovery record to prove your COVID-19 status on entry to Spain.

These requirements do not apply to children under 12 years old. Travellers from the UK who can either show proof of being fully vaccinated, or of having recovered from prior COVID-19 infection in the last 6 months, or who are aged under 12 years old, do not need to complete Spain’s Travel Health Control form.

Everyone else must complete it no more than 48 hours before travel to Spain. For more info, CLICK HERE.

Greece

Passengers arriving in Greece do not need to show a proof of COVID vaccination, a negative COVID test, or a certificate of recovery from COVID. You do not need to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF).

Travellers are still required to wear a mask on public transport. For more info, CLICK HERE.

Turkey

As of 1 June, all COVID-19 restrictions in Turkey have been lifted, and passengers arriving in Turkey are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or negative PCR test results. Entry requirements for Turkey are the same for all travellers, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.

France

From 31 March 2022, fully vaccinated travellers from the UK aged 12 and over must provide proof of vaccination. If you have received a booster, you are considered fully vaccinated for entry into France. There is currently no expiry date for booster jabs.

If you are aged 18 and over and have not received a booster, but have received two doses of a vaccine approved for use by France, then no more than 9 months must have passed since your second dose, to qualify as fully vaccinated. Further information can be found on the French Embassy in the UK’s website.

You may also be asked to complete the EU-PLF form before boarding or upon arrival in France. For more info, CLICK HERE.
