The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed on Sunday that its Global Entry programme would be suspended for the duration of the partial government shutdown.

This decision came after an initial Saturday night announcement that both Global Entry and the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) PreCheck programme would close, a plan DHS later reversed for PreCheck.
