Travel chaos is set to hit Ayrshire again with rail workers set to go on two more strike days.
Transport union RMT have vowed to walk out again this month over an ongoing pay dispute with Network Rail workers.
Industrial action has been pencilled in for Thursday, September 15 and Saturday, September 17.
It means ScotRail trains could be completely axed in the region, with previous days of action seeing ghost stations across Ayrshire as no services ran.
The strike action days will also fall on key dates of Ayr Racecourse's show piece event.
The Ayr Gold Cup, Scotland's richest flat race, is set to bring 12,000 punters to the famous course between Thursday and Saturday.
The majority of fans will flock to the seaside town for the show piece event on the Saturday — a day earmarked for industrial action.
ScotRail chiefs were unable to confirm if trains will be cancelled on the key dates.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail head of customer operations, said: “We’ll confirm the exact impact of strike action and travel advice for customers as soon as we can in the lead up to the planned strike action by RMT members of Network Rail.”
