Parts of the M62 eastbound are currently closed after two incidents.
There is travel chaos across Merseyside and Cheshire, as two separate stretches of the motorway are closed towards Manchester. The first closure started last night, on Monday, January 30, after a HGV caught fire.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and closed both sides of the motorway while firefighters tackled the blaze. The fire has now been put out, however, as a clean up operation takes place, J7 A57 Warrington Road (Rainhill Stoops) to J8 A5281 Burtonwood Road (Warrington West / Burtonwood) are closed.
