Metros were suspended between Airport and Kingston Park on Thursday morning after a car collided with a Metro train.
Emergency services were called to Callerton Parkway just after 7:30am after a collision between a Metro train and a black Kia hatchback on the level crossing.
The stretch of Callerton Lane immediately around the Metro station between the A696 and B6918 Ponteland Road was closed as recovery teams worked to remove the vehicle from the tracks.
