Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is set to visit Maine on Tuesday and Wednesday, as announced by the Department of Transportation on Monday. His visit will include tours of bridge construction sites and a port location, marking the 50th state stop on his national tour to promote the infrastructure investments of the Biden administration.
Buttigieg, who has been considered a potential running mate for Vice President Kamala Harris, is embarking on this tour to highlight the importance of infrastructure development across the country.
Vice President Harris and her VP pick are also scheduled to visit seven swing states this week. Their itinerary includes stops in Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening, followed by visits to Michigan and Wisconsin on Wednesday.
