TransPennine Express reported almost 100 cancelled services across its entire network today.
The train service said there will be "cancellations to all routes" on Thursday, January 19, due to to a shortage of drivers and crew. Travellers could be facing chaos as a result as major stations including Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Leeds, and York are affected by the disruption.
Meanwhile, Merseyrail and Network Rail are facing issues brought on by snow and freezing conditions. The Met Office has issued a Yellow snow and ice warning, reporting that the weather conditions could remain in place for a couple of days.
