Transfers, Tony Mowbray and Kyril Louis-Dreyfus’ leadership dominate Sunderland’s agenda this summer

There could be a summer of change ahead for Sunderland. With a promising season now over, attention has already turned to refreshing the squad ahead of the new campaign – but there’s more on the agenda than just transfers.

Much of the past season was spent floating on the periphery of the Championship top six, with phrases like ‘overachieving’ and ‘ahead of schedule’ becoming commonplace at the Stadium of Light, particularly once the play-offs were confirmed.

Now that the season is over, those expectations are likely to change, or at least evolve. But will fans expect the club to go one better and secure promotion? Or even slide down the league having missed their best chance of going up?

There's also been change in the Sunderland boardroom, with the news last month that Stewart Donald was finally ending his association with the club after his stake was bought out by Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori. Questions over the head coach position have crept up too, proving even Tony Mowbray isn’t safe from the winds of change.

With the new campaign still weeks away, we’re asking fans to take stock of the season just gone and make their feelings known ahead of what is likely to be a busy summer for the Black Cats.
