With Champions League qualification in the bag and money in the bank ahead of the summer transfer window, it promises to be an exciting few months for Newcastle United supporters.
The club’s progression following the takeover was always likely to be swift given the funds new owners PIF have available to invest, but eyebrows were raised at just how far United have come after spending most of the previous season as relegation favourites.
A combination of good coaching from Eddie Howe and his team, as well as some excellent business in the transfer market, has taken Newcastle to new heights, and they’ll need to do it all over again if they’re to compete at Europe’s top table next season.
