Lee Bullen believes he's bagged a ready-made talent in the shape of new boy Reece McAlear.
The midfielder, 20, joined Ayr this morning on a loan deal from Tranmere until the end of the season.
It sees the former Scottish youth international return north of the border following a successful loan stint at Inverness last season.
And Bullen is backing the ex-Norwich kid to have a similar impact at Somerset.
He told the Ayrshire Post: "Reece has been up here and done the hard yards in this division - so he knows exactly what to expect.
"He already knows most of the opposition he's going to be facing, so that's a major plus for us.
"The boy also seemed genuinely excited at the prospect of playing regular football again.
"He's maybe dropped down the pecking order a bit at Tranmere but he has a chance to come here and be part of our push towards the end of the season.
"Hopefully he can come here and enjoy a bit of success and it proves a good move for both parties.
"He's a lad who's scored some wonderful goals, has a great range of passing and he will really suit our style of play."
