Tram derails in Milan, killing at least one and injuring dozens

A tram derailed and crashed into a building in Milan on Friday afternoon, killing one person and injuring 38 others, according to the fire brigade.

The line 9 tram derailed at around 16:00 in Viale Vittorio Veneto whilst travelling towards Porta Genova. The vehicle struck passers-by and a shop window.
