ScotRail have issued a warning to expect disruption as lines open after the first day of strikes.
Forty thousands Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union members, working for Network Rail, staged a walk out on Tuesday, marking the first day of three strikes planned. It's expected to be the biggest rail strike since 1989.
With National Rail signallers in Scotland taking part, the majority of the country's rail service ground to a halt with only five services running between the central belt.
