The train drivers union and the government have reached a pay deal that could end a two-year dispute that has brought strike misery to millions of passengers.
Aslef will put a pay offer worth more than 14 per cent over three years it described as “good” and “fair” to its members with a recommendation to accept, the union announced on Wednesday.
