British Transport Police are investigating an assault on board a train in Bristol, in which a member of staff was injured by a key being thrown at them.
The incident is understood to have happened at Parson Street station in Bedminster this afternoon, Tuesday, September 20.
The train was delayed at Parson Street for a number of minutes, before departing for Temple Meads, where those on board were met by British Transport Police.

The incident happened on board what would have been the 2.46pm train to Avonmouth from Temple Meads, which had begun its journey at Weston-super-Mare, called through stations in North Somerset and Bedminster before joining the Severn Beach Line.
At Parson Street, the first station in South Bristol, Bristol Live understands the incident occurred at around 2.30pm where a member of the public assaulted the guard on board the train.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Bristol Temple Meads at 2.43pm following reports that a member of rail staff had been assaulted on a train. It’s believed a young man threw a key at her, causing a minor cut. Enquiries are ongoing."
