Train attack, TUI staff 'ruined woman's holiday' and reason aeroplane circled city

Woman threw full cider can at victim's face in Liverpool train attack

A group were attacked on a train from Liverpool to New Brighton.

Police are investigating an incident between two women and another group of people who boarded a train at James Street Station. The two women, already on the service from Liverpool Central, are said to have made homophobic comments towards the group and thrown a full can of cider at one of them.

One of the suspects then approached another victim and repeatedly punched her. The attack took place just before 11pm on Saturday, March 26.

"At just before 11pm on 26 March, the victims boarded the train at James Street station. Two women already on the service then made homophobic comments towards the group before one them threw a full can of cider at them which struck one of the victims in the face."

TUI staff 'ruined woman's holiday' just half an hour into flight

A woman claims airline staff refused to serve water to her disabled mum on board a nine-hour flight.

Ellie Fisher, 23, was travelling to the Dominican Republic with her mum Natalie Williams, 49. However, they claim that Natalie was unable to take vital medication onboard due to a 'rule' about serving drinks outside of meals.

Ellie, from Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, said: "We were really excited when we got to the airport to finally be going away after all the restrictions of the pandemic. But when we got on board the flight, they told us they weren't serving drinks outside of the scheduled meal time because of the risk of spreading covid."

Police explain reason for aeroplane circling Liverpool last night

The National Police Air Service have confirmed the reason an aeroplane was flying over Liverpool last night.

The Vulcanair P.68R was deployed by the National Police Air Service, on Tuesday, April 5, to assist Merseyside Police. Police were investigating a suspected cloned car at around 8.30pm, for around 50 minutes.

The plane left Blackpool airport at 8.03pm and flew over to Liverpool. It circled over the Vauxhall area of Liverpool and the city centre.
