A devastating event shook the community of Sayreville, New Jersey, as a 9-year-old boy lost his life in a horrific incident involving his father. The father, identified as a 43-year-old man, was charged with aggravated arson after setting a car on fire at Sayreville War Memorial High School following a domestic dispute at their family home.
The authorities were alerted to the situation when Sayreville police responded to a call at the family's residence late Thursday night. Upon arrival, they were informed that the father had left the home with the young boy. Around the same time, a fire was reported near the high school.
Police discovered the father next to the burning vehicle, which he had doused with gasoline.
