Tragedy struck in Broomfield, Colorado, when a car crash claimed the lives of a mother and her teenage son. The driver responsible for this horrific incident is a 37-year-old man from El Salvador, Jose Menovar. Menovar, an illegal immigrant who had been deported four times before, now faces multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and DUI.
According to the Broomfield Police Department, the fatal collision occurred just 10 days before Christmas. Menovar was allegedly driving under the influence when he crashed his Toyota SUV into a Mazda car driven by Melissa Powell, 47, and her 16-year-old son. Sadly, the impact proved fatal for both victims.
