There was no evidence to suggest a 'loving' 15-year-old found dead by his mum intended to end his own life, a coroner has ruled.
Harley Whittle was tragically found in woods close to his home in Bury after he had not returned from seeing friends. An inquest into his death heard that on the afternoon and evening of July 8, 2022, Harley had met up with some friends who lived locally, who described him being his caring and normal self before he left them around 9pm.
He was not seen by them again and was tragically found by his mother later that evening when he had not come home. Neighbours had rushed to give him CPR and he was taken to Fairfield General Hospital, but his death was confirmed at midnight.
