A devastating traffic accident occurred in Claremont, North Carolina, late Thursday, resulting in the death of a 4-year-old child and multiple injuries. The incident took place amidst heavy rain conditions, as reported by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on Boggs Road when a vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The collision led to the tragic death of the 4-year-old child and left a 12-year-old with life-threatening injuries. Additionally, two children in the other vehicle were also hospitalized - a 2-year-old with life-threatening injuries and a 4-year-old with less severe trauma.
Fortunately, both drivers involved in the accident, identified as Lyndsey Nicole Gaddis, 32, and Tiffany Miner Sipe, 34, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Sergeant Christopher Knox of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol stated that impairment was not a contributing factor in the collision, based on the initial investigation.
