A man has died after he was found unconscious on a Leeds street in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
West Yorkshire Police were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to North Street at 5.58am.
A man, in his 40s, had been found unconscious but he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

His death is being treated as “unexplained” but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, a spokesperson for the force added.
Officers had put a scene in place but it has since been removed.
An official statement from the force said: “5.58am this morning, police were contacted by the ambulance service who had been called to an incident in North Street, Leeds, near to the junction with St Thomas Row, where a man had been found unconscious in the street.
“The man, who is aged in his forties, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
“A scene was put in place but has now been removed.
“The man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“Anyone who saw the man in the vicinity or who has any information that could assist in identifying his movements in the time leading up to when he was found is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting log 206 of March 24 or online .”
