Tragedy as bride-to-be dies days after proposal after using wrong spoon to stir tea

When Craig McKinnon proposed to Jess Prinsloo at a beauty spot in South Africa, he truly felt like the happiest man in the world.

But tragedy struck just days later. The couple's dream holiday turned into a nightmare when Jess died suddenly. The 24-year-old, who had an acute dairy allergy, suffered a fatal reaction after using the wrong spoon to stir her cup of tea.

So instead of making wedding plans with his “gorgeous” fiancée, Craig, 24, is facing life without her. He arrived back in the UK with Jess’s ashes on Monday (January 16).
