Police have confirmed that a woman's body has been found in a river in North Yorkshire following an urgent missing person's search.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police were called to the River Nidd, near Bilton Viaduct in Harrogate this morning (13 May) following concerns for a woman.
An urgent missing person investigation was launched by police, which included searches in and around the river, Yorkshire Live reports.

Underwater search teams sadly recovered the body of a woman in her 40s, at around 1.20pm. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police have recovered the body of a local woman from the River Nidd, near Bilton Viaduct, in the Harrogate area.
"Concerns were raised about the woman, who is aged in her 40s, on Saturday (13 May 2023) morning. An urgent missing person investigation was launched which included searches in and around the River Nidd at the location.
"The woman’s body was recovered by the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Marine and Underwater Search Unit at around 1.20pm.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Coroner in due course. The woman’s family are being supported by the police."
