A body has sadly been found in the search for missing North Tyneside man David Hall.
David, 55, was last seen by his family leaving his home address in Shiremoor on September 11. His worried family reported him missing after they struggled to make contact with him.
An extensive search was launched, and a number of enquiries were carried out to locate David, but sadly a body was found on Tuesday evening in the Durham Constabulary area in the River Wear.

Formal identification has now taken place and David's next of kin are being supported by specialist officers at this devastating time. Police do not believe there to be any third party involvement in his death and a report will now be made for the coroner.
Superintendent Paul Stewart said: "This is an incredibly sad update and one we certainly did not hope to deliver.
"Our thoughts remain with David's family and loved ones. We will continue to offer them support during this extremely difficult time and would ask that their privacy is respected.
"We want to thank everyone who shared our appeal to help find David, as well as all our officers, partners and volunteers who assisted with our search. It is hugely appreciated."
