A body has been found in a lake after emergency services responded to reports that a man in his 20s had got into difficulty, police said.
South Yorkshire Police confirmed the tragic news at around 9pm.
Emergency services were called to the lake at Lakeside, Doncaster, at around 4.10pm after receiving calls that a man was in trouble in the water.
A police spokesman said: "No formal identification has yet taken place.
The man's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers."
Earlier in the day South Yorkshire Fire tweeted: "Emergency services are on the scene at Lakeside, Doncaster.
"At around 4.20pm, we were called to concerns that a man had got into difficulty in water.
"Numerous agencies have responded and specialist teams are doing everything they can to find him. Please avoid the area."
Three hours later they updated members of the public a body had been found.
