Police were called out to Leigh on Tuesday morning (May 23) after a man was found dead inside a house. A huge emergency services presence was reported at the scene on Cotton Street at around 8am.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service after the body of the man, who has not been identified, was discovered.
A second man was taken to hospital from the scene for treatment. It is not thought there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were alerted by NWAS after the body of man was found in an address at Cotton Street, Leigh, today (23/5/23).
"A second man was taken to hospital for treatment. This incident is not believed to be suspicious and has been referred to the coroner."
