The Trafford Centre is creating a special ‘fanzone’ for the World Cup, showing all the matches for free on its own dedicated giant screen. Every scheduled game of the tournament will be shown, with football fans able to access the area from November 20.
The fanzone will have seating, taken on a first come, first served basis, and a large bar area, with ‘fans of all ages’ welcome to use all the facilities available. It will all kick off with England’s fixture against Iran on November 21, which begins at 1pm.
“With the Qatar World Cup happening during our key festive period, we want to ensure that no one in the family will miss the action if they come to Trafford Centre from 20th November,” said the Trafford Centre’s Bruce Gardner.

“The YouTube Shorts Big Screen is free for all visitors to access, and with refreshments on hand including a licensed bar and hot food snacks, we will keep football fans fed and watered throughout the tournament all the way to the Final.”
The same day as the England match, it will screen the Senegal vs Netherlands at 4pm, and then USA vs Wales at 7pm. Then on November 25 will be Wales vs Iran at 10am and England vs USA at 7pm.
The last of the England group matches, England vs Wales, will then be screened at 7pm on November 29. For information on the fanzone, head to the Trafford Centre’s website.
