Motorists travelling through an Ayrshire town next week are being advised of possible delays to their journeys.
Road traffic management will take place in an area of Girvan to enable Scottish Water to carry out improvements to the local waste water network.
From Tuesday, September, 20, temporary three-way traffic lights will be in operation on Vicarton Street, near to the entrance of Girvan Train Station, to enable upgrades on a short stretch of sewer pipe to be carried out safely.
The lights will be manually operated in order to help keep traffic flowing.
It is expected that road traffic management will be in place for around one week.
The works have been agreed in conjunction with South Ayrshire Council.
With delays expected, road users are advised to leave extra time for travel.
Advance signage will be in place.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: “Local residents and road users are thanked in advance for their patience and understanding while these essential works are carried out.”
