A death row prisoner who killed his mother and buried her body in her backyard has been given a lethal injection in Texas.
Tracy Beatty, 61, was executed at the state penitentiary in Huntsville despite his lawyers saying he has a history of mental illness.
He was sentenced to death for strangling his mother, Carolyn Click, after they argued in her East Texas home in November, 2003.
